How can I put together a nav. bar like the one in the site below? I am talking about the one that looks like folders sliding up on mouse over.

Great work hga77, however I like to be able to get the effect using the mask and on mouseover. I can control things better that way because I don’t have enough knowledge of ac. So, if it is possible please give me an example with a different approach. Thank you.

I dont understand what you mean by saying “onMouseOver”? That is exactly how it works now anyway (ie. if you mouse-over the tab, it shows up!).

As for the mask, give me a minute…

I was talking about achieving the effect through animations, whether use of mask or having the movement in another frame and using something like: on mouseover goto and play(2).
I hope I didn’t make things even more confusing.

If you wanna use the current code, its not that hard to add a mask! And the code should also be easy to understand…And its better to use AS than tweens…you can control the movement much better. Learn AS :wink:

I’ve been trying to learn AC, but it takes time to get good at it and apply what I have learned. There is no hurry – besides, someone else might respond too. If you get free time later, maybe you can do that for me. Thanks a lot.
