Need assistance looping an FLV please

First let me explain what I’m doing and what is already accomplished. Earlier this year UNFLUX and lostinbeta did the bulk of design work for my companies Flash website which UNFLUX posted after we released it www.alaron-nuclear.com If you perchance take a look, after the Flash intro, on the main site is a section with “clouds”. What I’ve done is created my own custom animation to replace the clouds, and after a lot of learning and work, I’ve gotten very close. To see what I’m talking about check here:

The animation is a render of 1274 jpg images that I assembled into a movie using Quicktime Pro, and included the audio in the .mov file. In Flash 8, the .mov file is imported into the first and only keyframe in the movie as a progressive FLV file. All well and good, and the result is what you see in the link above. I’m clueless how to make it loop.

When I was importing into Flash, I noticed I can create cue points, and I’m nearly certain this is the first step to my solution. But until last night, I never heard of a cue point. I’m thinking I make a cue point at 00:00:00 and say call it beginLoop and then make another cue point at 00:01:24 (which is the end of the movie) and call it endLoop. OK, I can handle that part, but I don’t know whether to choose Event or Navigation type. I also don’t know what if anything to put as parameters for beginLoop and endLoop. Nor do I know what to use for an action script once I do add the cue points.

Essentially, what I believe needs to happen is when the movie reaches endLoop I want it to go back and play beginLoop. That’s what I don’t know how to do and what I need help with to finish this up.

I searched through the entire Flash 8 forum and some of the action script forum but didn’t find anything that help. I think I could figure out how to do it with NetStream, but I’m not using it. I’m using the built in component that comes with Flash 8 .

Any advice would be appreciated. Also, there’s a small problem for Firefox users. If a user doesn’t have Flash Player 8 installed, Internet Explorer automatically goes out and gets the plugin, but Firefox doesn’t. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to work around this?

Thanks
Mark
