Need guidance in developing a broacher

Actually .soulty said is correct. To be very frank I was totally blank about how to start the thing, but now I have already conceptualized the layout.

Before this I have never made any broachers or have worked with print media. It will be really great if you guys can tell me what are the basic things that I should keep in mind. There are few doubts that I have;

  1. Can I make the whole layout in photoshop and then import it in pagemaker?
  2. What resolution I should use in photoshop if I am using the above said method?
  3. What are the dimensions of the CD sticker?

Please guide me as this my first project in print media and I have no clue how to work with it. I will really appreciate if you can give me likes of some tutorials.

Thanks in advance

no need to make another thread for a extention to your original topic, if you want your subject title change, ask a mod. :wink:

1: you can but type comes out much more crisper when you create it in a vector based application such as illustrator, indesign… and i guess pagemaker.

2: Resolutions are based on where you are printing the media, if you are proffessionaly printing the document then i would advice you to call your printer and see what there specifics are, usually for high quality stuff i would use a dpi around 300-600.

2b: Remember you can use photoshop and other applications together, say you create a funky background in photoshop and import that into pagemakers and work out the type and some content designs.

3: Not too sure on this one, but if you have a cd burning application such as nero there are templates on there that can give you the dimensions you can work off. or you can just search for this info on google.com
