Hi. I am working on a project which involves 5 separate sliding images bars in one movie.
I’m working from a tutorial and FLA created by Helen Triolo:

The tutorial at this location decribes how to create one functioning sliding menu. In my project, I have exchanged the sliding menu bar containing buttons to a sliding bar with one long image slice.
I want to stack 5 of these sliding bars on top of one another, but am having difficulty getting each bar to function separately from one another.
Each of the bars consists of 2 of the same images lined up in a row (as instructed to do in Helen’s tutorial). I have changed some of the actions to allow for the extremely long images that I’m using. Each image used in each of the bars is 11,520 pixels wide, so each SliderMC is twice that length - 23,040 pixels.

I have tried exporting each of the 5 sliding bars into separate swf files and then importing them back in to a separate movie, but the bars won’t slide.
I don’t have a whole lot of experience with actionscripting, but if someone can point me in the right direction, I’m sure I could figure it out.
