I have been using flash for years, and I consider myself to be good at it, although my main hurdle I have never been able to get over is actionscript! I find it to be intimidating and it’s like you don’t know where to start…anyways, I need to know how to do three important things using actionscript…BTW, I use flash 8…
When you click the button with good timing, points are added to your score
When you click the button with bad timing (or don’t click at all), points are deducted from your score.
When you miss X amount of “beats” (clicking the button), the music stops, and you are redirected to a “game over” screen

If a person clicks the button 2 or more times in a row with good timing, a combo is started. All this means is that the number of how big the combo is is displayed.
