Need help with Flash 4 files using MX

Brief history: I created an interactive CD a few years ago using Flash 4 Mac OS 9. The files were structured as follows… “StartHere” was the projector, and all the other SWF files were located in a subfolder titled “movies”. There were additional folders inside the “movies” folder as well.

Problem: Since then, obviously there has been new versions of Flash and a new operating system, OS X. I haven’t touched Flash extensively in years and am now back at it. I need to create a new OS X projector so this CD-ROM can work on the new operating system. Silly me thought all I have to do is launch Flash MX on OS X and open “StartHere.fla” file and create a new Mac projector. I did this and it seems my old F4 swf files aren’t working correctly. So far I have noticed when new SWF files are suppose to load, they do not. Also, I’m getting strange looping during one part.

Question: Can anyone give me the skinny on issues relating to different Flash versions (F4 - MX) and/or issues with the Mac operating switch (OS 9 - OSX). I’m hoping there is an easy fix to this. ANY help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!
Kevin
