Im pulling my hair our right now because I have a website due for college tommorow and I am having a serious problem… I start by saying im still a beginner and im using AS2.
I am designing a basic website for a band and I have a few sections (home,new,about,tour dates etc)
I was told about a tutorial on this site: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash8/scrollbar.htm
because I wanted a scroll function that I could use in the different sections and add pictures and video etc…
The scroll tutorial worked great its just what I need but I can only use it once in one section… If I try and use the movie clip in any other sections any changes made change all the other duplicates aswell… Ive tried creating duplicates of the ‘Main scroller movie clip’ in the library and renaming but none of the actions work because obviously all the button and instance names are different… Ive tried changing basic things in the code but it still wont function like the original…
Is there an easy way that I can duplicate the original scroller and use it in different sections and not affect all the other sections??
Im really out of my depth here but my project is due tommorow so im screwed… My only option is to try and find 5 seperate scroller tutorials and use one for each section that way nothing will clash…that or design a new website which i really dont want to do…
If anyone can half understand what im trying to do I would really appreciate the help if you know what to do…
