Need urgent help with memory leak issue on huge project

Hi Kirupians,

I’m in the final stages of a big project for a fashion company in the Netherlands.

It’s a business-to-business website, where clients (shops) can place orders for batches of clothes directly from the company.

There are 600 short videos and over 3600 hi-res photo’s ready to be called up from the application, and they are served from an Adobe Scene7 server.

Clients are all browsing the site using Firefox on MacBooks distributed by the company. There’s about 64 of those out there, all over Europe.

The site is live already, and orders are posted every day.

But I’m also getting bug reports. Clients might be clicking around on the site for over two hours, and all the time, memory usage rises. I have a built-in memory usage monitor, and sometimes RAM use creeps up to over 2 GB before Firefox crashes, and the order is lost.

If an order is lost in this way, it means grim faces all around, looking at me! Help!

I have a feeling I’m overlooking things when cleaning up/destroying objects, video streams and bitmaps.

Any hints on where I might start looking for this leak would be greatly appreciated! Please have a look at this secret entry to one of the five brands (may not be up forever!):

…and watch your memory usage in the upper right corner!

All prices will show up as “undefined 0,00” because an LSO created by the actual live link is needed to determine the right currency and price.

Thanks in advance for ANY tips!
