Well after hawk posted that little tut there i decided to try it out. I used two different ways for the bg, first i used Difference clouds with grunge brushes on the sides, that werked out really really well i thought, then i started witha blank layer and used jus normal cloudes. Thats when i saw what he was talking about. Merged those two layers and blended them and such. Then i went and made my grung on top of that and added a little picture.
Not one of my best, but one of the new ones for me that i am not too ashamed of (hey i am rusty!) lol.
dippy, the curved black lines are really really nice… i like them a lot… actually the whole pic is good except for 2 things
1] I don’t really like the color… something about it just doesn’t seem right
2] The pic is just sitting there… ya need to like blend it in or something
I’m definately not a grunge expert, but that’s what caught my attention, still I think its a great peice
@Red and 28: i agree 100%, this was really just an experimental thing. nothing that i am going to show. I dont like the pic just had it around and said ahh why not. i will try some stuff with it later. No really foucus cause well, it was like i said just an experiment with a new way. I hate the colour but black was like eww…
not a bad pic. As said before, the pic could use some blending in; and also maybe the ‘cursive’ elements of it. Just seems to sit right on top of the rest of the image and doesn’t posess much grit IMO. Good stuff tho
