Newest flash player help

I got the new Flash Player(7.0.14.0).

When I play movies in IE it uses the new version.

When I play movies via control test movie in flash it uses the old version(6.0.21.0).

When I double click a .swf it can’t find a SAFlashPlayer.exe.

When I search files and folders the only significant thing that comes up is a GetFlash app.

help?..

the flash player is where you installed flash and I’m guessing your running mx. flashplayer 7 is for flash 2004 but it can still be used.

yes I am using MX

I purposely deleted the old version of the player so that I could use the new version.

But I cant find it on my hd even though it uses the newer version in IE.

you still need the old version. reinstall flash

Just reinstall the Flash Player. What you see in IE is shown with ActiveX control, not the Flash player. What you see in MX is shown with MX. To see the swf’s separately you need Flash Player.
