I am using MX 2004 and when I play my swf files and right click the movie it says about Flash Player 6…rather than 7. It does not seem to be causing any problems but I am not sure why it would be using this older version. Maybe I just need to remove version 6, just wanted to hear thoughts on this.

Uhh, sounds like you are running an old player version. I have trouble getting my mac to keep new file associations with new flash players, so I just end up deleting the old player and forcing the system to use the newest. You’ll notice problems once you try to view a flash 7 or 8 file and half the content doesn’t show up. I think the flash plugin for browsers is separate from the stand-alone player you would use to open flash files outside the browser, so keep those to on the same version can be a pain.
yes the stand alone players and the browser plugins are separate, I am pretty sure. thanks for the input serkios, I will just delete my older players
