does anyone agree w/ me on this one? if the site that has times new roman, for example, as the default font, it is not as professional as one that has arial or veranda as the font?
i’m betting this one w/ a friend :thumb:
depends what sorta site it is… i generally dislike times new roman, but sometimes it just works though IMO
When I see Times being used, I can’t help but think, “Now here’s a website designer who was too lazy to declare a font or use a style sheet and so just used the default!”
well basically, you have 2 choices…
serif or not…
once you choose serif, there isn’t much reason to choose anything else since it looks so similar…
also, Times gives the impression of fact, which comes from Newspapers printing with it for years…

I ALWAYS use verdana size 12.
for small text, verdana size 10 (also works for mini sites)
I normally use Tahoma/Verdana sizes 12-7
Times was made mainly for printing purposes.
