Nokia is recalling a total of 46 million Nokia BL-5C batteries because these batteries have been found to easily overheat. Those manufactured between December 2005 and November 2006 produced by Matsu****a of Japan and will be replaced by Nokia at no extra charge.
There have been reports of 100 incidents of overheating globally.

Unfortunately, I too was using this battery for more than a year… now waiting for the replacement!!
