Half-Life 2 was released by Valve half an hour or so ago. I watched Steam’s server status page for two hours up until the release (http://www.steampowered.com/status/status.html), at which time Steam’s site crashed for 10 minutes or so. It was interesting, Steam went from transfering over 7.5 gigs/second to only about 5.
Anyways, I’ll be picking my copy up this afternoon. Anybody have the downloaded version? Comments? My friend had the downloaded version, and he began playing immediatly after it was released. Apparently it’s “very real.” He threw a phone at someone :sigh:
