here’s something that I’m wondering about. How do the thread subscriptions work? When you go to the user CP, what determines which threads show up as subscribed.
Cause I’ve noticed this conditions:
I’ve answered at least 7 different threads today.
Only 4 show up on my user cp.
I haven’t unsubscribed to any of them
Threads that I’ve just replied to show up. However, there are threads that I KNOW have been answered, but don’t show up on cp.
Threads that don’t show up on my cp for a while will sometimes appear out of nowhere when people answer them.
If I’m subscribed to a particular thread, why does it dissapear from time to time? I thought the whole point was to see ALL the threads I’m subscribed to.
To keep it from getting too clutter, there is a timeout period. If you are away from the forum for a certain period of time, the userCP gets cleared and the new replies get put in there.
You can select how many days you want shown at the bottom of the list though.
Well you probably have it set in your options to notify you when someone replies.
What this does is auto-subscribes you to every thread you post in, so you will get an e-mail notification when people reply, AND it will be stored in your userCP.
If you don’t want that you can disable the option in your settings, but this means you won’t be notified when people reply to threads and it won’t be put in your userCP. You will have to click on the “Subscribe to this thread” link at the bottom of the page in that thread to get notified when its updated.
