Hi guys, been lurking here for a while and the threads here have come in useful a lot so I thought I’d post a question. I’ve googled until I’m blue in the face but no luck.
Basically I’m doing a Flash-based website for a friend. I’m doing the Actionscript+PHP and a colleague of mine is helping me with the design. However the designer is using Flash MX 2004 and I’m using Flash 8, and the FLA files he sends me turn up blank. One blank frame, one layer and a single empty Scene.
md5sum’ing it on each end comes up fine (both the same checksum), so the file isn’t corrupt. FWIW he emails the FLA files to me (him Apple Mail on OSX, me Moz Thunderbird on WinXP SP2).
Anyone seen this before?
Also every so often I see Disk Error messages from Flash, even though Scandisk and a scan with UBCD turns up fine.
The designer getting Flash 8 is not an option, and I’m not willing to pirate a copy of MX 2004.
