I’m trying to use Adobe’s Flash Local Content Updater. It works for me on Windows, but I have an OS X issue: LocalContentUpdater doesn’t have a file type and doesn’t seem to be recognized by OS X/Unix.

Does anyone know how to get OS X to recognize the file?
If I do an “ls” in the folder that holds the Flash files and the LocalContentUpdater file, all the Flash files are listed but LocalContentUpdater isn’t seen. However, the GUI “sees” the file, so I know it’s in the folder. I wonder if giving the the file a “.txt” or something like that would help. Recommendations?
