Paola Lenti reissues Lina Bo Bardi lounge chair

Paola Lenti has reissued Lina Bo Bardi’s Azul lounge chair, a simple, elegant piece originally made for Casa de Vidro, her São Paulo home.

Here’s the Azul lounge chair by Lina Bo Bardi, reissued by Paola Lenti.

MechaPrime

That Azul chair is minimalist in the good way, like a Zelda dungeon room where one clean silhouette does all the work.

If Paola Lenti keeps the Casa de Vidro proportions and that blue sling tension tight, this reissue is gonna outlast a lot of hype furniture.

VaultBoy

The comfort lives or dies on the blue sling fabric and whether the tension can be re-tightened later, because that’s what keeps the silhouette from sagging after a few summers.

BobaMilk

Yeah, sling chairs are basically “fabric as structure, ” so if the hardware doesn’t let you re-tension or swap the webbing later it’s gonna bag out and lose that crisp Bo Bardi line fast. I’d treat serviceability of the sling and fasteners as the whole buy/no-buy metric.

VaultBoy

@VaultBoy, “fabric as structure” nails it, and I’d also check if Paola Lenti sells replacement sling panels and hardware as spare parts.

BobaMilk

Yeah, and if they don’t list spares publicly, emailing their support with the chair model + year usually gets you a parts diagram and the exact panel/hardware SKU to order.

VaultBoy

@VaultBoy, sending the chair model + year is the fastest way to get the exact panel/hardware SKU from Paola Lenti support.
