Thanks, I’ll take a look

Hi, in another thread I said, I wasn’t going to come back to this site again. Today, I received an e-mail from this site and I decided to view it. Well, I can help it when I see many questions in the forum and I think I can be a help. About the question on press printing and paper type for press printing I can only say that the best way to go about is to read about it or go to a press co. and see what really goes on. There is no way of telling some one to take a piece of paper and put ink on it from a printing press. <br>
There are many ways on printing, two color, four color (cmyk-cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) or five colors six colors and so on depending on the printing press capabilities. Every color and paper has a price in the printing industry. Now days you can print 4 colors on a regular stock for very little money depending on the quantity, size of paper and bleeds etc.<br>
Paper?? You have to have samples and see for yourself what kind of texture, color, make, quality, thickness etc. Many paper co. can send to you samples of paper so you can make a good decision on your design. This is not just for your own design but also for your clients. You would like to give the best price to your customers as well. Okay, enough on the PREACHING!!<br>
I can recommend some good magazines on the subject: Step inside design mag., Print mag., How mag., CMYK mag. ID mag. etc. Many of this magazines are for designing only but you can find paper companies with ads on their products.<br>
I hope this can help
