this request could apply to AS3 and Flash CS3 but I’ll post here since I really have no guess if this problem has been already solved with these new Adobe versions.
However:
I need to parse a big XML file (actually it’s a EPG guide) and extract data from it.
With AS2 this process is ■■■■ slow and lasts minutes.
I wonder if there’s a way to make Flash extract only the needed data without loading the XML interely beforce processing?
I heard something about XML packetizing but I don’t know if it’s applicable here.
