Hi, just wanted to say thank you for the fine tutorial at http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/external_array.htm , it has helped me in loading my list of files to produce an slideshow.
I would like to comment that the tutorial says:
[font=Arial][size=2]Press Ctrl + Enter to test the movie within Flash. Notice that the long list of data you saw from visiting the earlier URL is now broken down and displayed individually in your Flash Output window.[/size][/font]
However this won’t work if using PHP or any other server generated data because you can’t access a web server from the Flash environment, for the example to work you will need to publish your swf file, include it in an HTML file and test it from there.
