I am pretty sure this can be solved by doing something simple, however I am stumped at the moment. Attached I have included a .fla that illustrates a simple effect done on a graphic piece placed in a movie. Once I bring the movie onto the main stage I am seeing the part to the left and right of the graphic piece.(the scrolling thing which moves to the left finally displaying the image.) Not sure if I have explained it correctly. But I was under the impression that in flash, so long as something wasn’t on the stage it wouldn’t show up.
The reason why I am asking is because I am building my first ever fully flash site, and I have a background done in PS. Once I import it into flash, and I start calling my external movies with their animations, say like the one mentioned above which is attached, I am seeing what I used to do my little effects to the left and right… say when it starts and finishes. As in the file attached, right when it begins to scroll across the image and when it stops on the left, I see the shaded bar on the main stage. So if my main movie is 300 x 400 and my external movie that I call is the one attached, I see the gradient bar. I apologize if this is confusing, but I hope whoever is reading understands my problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in Advance
