(I use Windows XP Home Edition)
Ok this is the most bizarre instance of a undeletable file I have ever seen…new computer absolutley no problems. Anyways I was downloading the latest version of iTunes when I had to restart it no doubt because I was overstraining it I was just curious how many task it could do it once. Anyways this normally wouldn’t be a problem…so I went to delete the partially downloaded iTunes setup file on my desktop. It had been turned into a standard win32 application as it was not applicable as anything else. But every time I try and delete it, it gives the standard cannot delete because in use by another person or program. And this is a partial iTunes file…by no means a questionable source. And I certainly have no trouble deleting other files . I even tried deleting it by means of the command prompt. Making my directory my desktop and then running del iPodSetup.exe
That however also generates a similar message, saying That the process cannot access the file because it is being accessed by another process.
What other process could possibly be accessing a partially downloaded iTunes file !?!
My suspicion is it has to do with explorer from what I’ve read, but not really sure how I’d get around that.
Thanks,
Fargate
