Just got an email from flashthat.com to say that i’ve won a gold award for a site that i did a while back for a good friend of mine who is a photographer…
They have given him a great review…he is one of scotland’s foremost photographers…
His work is gorgeous…I have a few of his pieces and he took my portrait as well…
It’s amazing what you can do with decent lighting ha ha…
The site is a very heavy download on a 56k…
Loadsa images, poetry and sound etc…
It was done about 2 years ago, looking back at the code in the flas is embarrasing…
I got a similar email from a publicist of a former client, regarding Flashthat.com. With mine also it was a couple years old (from beginning of project).
He hasn’t updated his awards in weeks (my site is not on there).
Do you know how your site was submitted? Just curious.
like i said he was more interested in the work than the site…
random quote after the bit about how only 2 others had received gold…
“Rob you and Craig must visit these two Website to see the
company you are in. I can not speak for the other award
programs but the reason Artist’s apply for the FlashThat
Award is because they know the difference between a
serious award and the award programs which do not have
a clue especially when it comes to Artwork.
That is why I will not even ask for the Website which has
earned the FlashThat Award to display the Award Graphic if
they do fine. I am personal grateful to have had to
opportunity to have viewed Craig’s work and to all the
Artist’s Visiting the FlashThat.com Website I am sure they
will feel the same way as I do. Craig’s work is fantastic.
Now for the down side “not enough” I know Craig has allot
more artwork and I wish to see it.”
