I am not very confident with photoshop and its leading to problems with the completion of my layout. I am fine once i get flashing but I could really use some help tying together my layout…
the way that site has smooth borders etc… really ties the main content together! how should i go about doing this for my layout for a professional looking result?
you start with a pencil and paper and you design. form follows function, it should never be the other way around. start rough, refine, refine, and refine again. think ahead, think about what you want to achieve, envision it before you make your first mark, then go till its finished. step back from time to time and look at what your doing to see if its working or not. this is my formula
dude dude dude, that is one hot concept man. the idea of the monk is just great. however your design is lacking. i liked the 1st one better, i think if you throw in a really cool flash nav in the left grey area, and a good content window, you’ll have a really cool site.
don’t lose the monk bro, i think that idea is gold.
maybe i’m just really hyped because i love fu-flicks.
Not feeling the last one at all. The first one is still the strongest in my book. Get a nice dynamic menu going in that grey space. Love the monk. It would be funny if it said ‘ey’ on the monks jacket. Monk-ey. :ne:
The first one looks great so far. Keep that white.
Next you should make it a little trendy by adding some simple detail to it, like little circles around one spot - it will look great. Just keep the monk/monkey concept going and its gold.
how about something similar to a dropdown menu that comes off the the right… or somthing similar to an acordion menu with something like a scroll within it (if possible. then your buttons would move apart and if the number of projects exceed a certain number you could scroll without having your menu go out of frame.
