So at work today, we got in a heated debate about using Photoshop and Illustrator for web design. My manager, and a couple other coworkers, insist that Illustrator is the best tool for designing and slicing out images for a website.
My argument is that he does not understand the differences between the two programs. Illustrator is perfect for, well, illustrating. It’s good for creating logos and iconography. However, Photoshop should be used for the rest of the work. Because it is a bitmap program, and all graphics in a website will end up as some sort of bitmap, Photoshop is more accurate for this medium and should be the main tool.
What do you guys think???! I feel like going postal on my manager
