OK I think it’s the 5th or 6th time I’m posting this on misc freelance boards and forums. Problem is every freaking programmer I select turn out to be crap and they either delivers a bad result or no result at all. PLEASE read this through carefully and don’t waste our time if you are not willing to work under the terms given.
I have development started on a site similar to www.playittonight.com or [url=“http://www.beatport.com/”]www.beatport.com. I already have the admin almost completed although some bug fixes and additions are needed. The the front end needs to be built as well (I have created dummy files) IPN needs to be built for Paypal and 2checkout.
Here’s a quick list of things that needs to be built and fixed;
Admin stuff
- When I manage FTP uploaded tracks, the id3 import to database is broken and is not working.
- There’s a bug where I can not change label for tracks and releases
- A track approval function needs to be added for unsigned artists (as we want to keep a high quality)
- A flash mp3 player is needed so that labels, artists and admins can prelisten tracks
- A featured release function so that we can sell “featured” and be able to set visibility dates and sections
- Look over security.
- Sales report templates and cooding needs to be added
Front End Stuff
- IPN for Paypal and 2checkout and download page after user login
- Downloads with setting of max days and max downloads
- Flash player needs to be integrated and take id3 tags (I have a flash dummy)
- Different pages needs to be coded database wise, i.e. browse genres, browse artists, browse labels etc. I have dummy files for this
- A more charts page is needed where top 10 charts from each genre is visible
- Login, cart and registration forms needs coded database wise (dummies exist)
- Look over security
AND PROBABLY A LOT I HAVE FORGOTTEN NOW. I WILL MAKE A COMPLETE LIST FOR YOU AS WELL AS I NEED TO BE INVOLVED DAILY ON DEVELOPMENT SO THAT WE CAN FIX ERRORS AND MISSUNDERSTANDINGS FAST. YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE ON MESSENGERS.
ONLY SERIOUS PROGRAMMERS WHO CAN WORK FAST, EFFICIENT ACCURATE AND WITH GOOD CODES
Now since I’m on a almost year long delay, I’m only interested in getting in touch with EXPERIENCED programmers who have KNOWLEDGE with e-commerce and security. You should be able to fix admin bugs in 1-2 days (the most important ones so that I can work with it again (something I haven’t been able to in 2 weeks now) and then complete the rest in 2 WEEKS with a 3RD WEEK bug fixing. ONLY BID IF YOU CAN WORK HARD ON THIS AND CREATE A QUICK WORKAROUND. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN GETTING A NEW PROGRAMMER WHO SAY 3 WEEKS AND THEN AFTER 3 MONTHS ALL IS STILL CRAP…
Since I am on such a big delay, this project has drained my economy big time. The first three programmers practically only snatched my advances and never delivered anything so I WILL NOT PAY ANYTHING UPFRONT. I only have about $400-$500 to spend on this at the moment. If you think that is to low, we can sign an agreement that I’m to pay you additional money some months after the site has been running OR some percentage ownership in the store.
Also, I am looking for a long term partnership. If you show me good and professional work I have more projects for you to work at both for myself (have a joint venture solution for the music industry product in mind) as well as for other clients (i.e. an english education company who needs a lot of work done in a very near future).
