http://www.youpluswe.com, a new multi-disciplinary studio located in Virginia Beach, VA, is seeking a freelance PHP web developer. We currently have several projects coming up this fall and need help with database integration and CMS systems. Candidates should be local and will get extra credit for being able to talk/work onsite. We’d prefer a full time freelancer but moonlighting is acceptable. The right candidate and work ethic will potentially lead to a full time position. Candidates should be able to meet the following criteria:
* Have 3 or more years of web development experience
* Excellent knowledge of PHP with regards to true OOP structure and larger sites
* Excellent knowledge of MySQL and PHPAdmin software(s)
* Working knowledge of JavaScript with regards to true OOP structure and larger system uses
* Excellent knowledge of XML in combination with JavaScript and PHP
* Working knowledge of CSS/XHTML front end standards
* Any knowledge of Flash and ActionScript is a plus but not required
* Any knowledge of open source software such as Zen Cart, Drupal, Joomla is excellent
* Any knowledge of other web technologies is a plus
We are looking for a true web developer to work with us on large web projects. Specific tasks will be building/customizing CMS systems that output XML formatted data for Flash and AJAX setups. Examples of live, working web applications and other code are required. We are only interested in your contribution to the project with regards to code. Compensation will be hourly.
