Phpmyadmin

hi,

when i try to acess phpmyadmin by http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/ i get a folder view of all the file in phpMyAdmin, if i click on index.php i can then access it.

so why does http://localhost/phpMyAdmin/ not work on its own?
