Playing movies by mouse rollover

I know that this sounds like a ridiculously easy question to answe, but I’ll ask anyway because after five hours I’ve just given up trying to find it on my own.

I’m having trouble getting a movie (animation) to run when you move over the indicator. Basically I have a metal Iris (like the thingy of Stargate) which is supposed to open when you move the cursor over it. I can get the animation to play (though I’m not sure if I’m doing it right as I’m doing by just sticking 10 consecutive keyframes), but I can’t figure out how to get it to play only when the cusor moves over it, and then play a closing iris animation when the cusor moves off it.

Also it would be good if I could play the animation in the reverese order (for rolloff) picking up from where the rollover animation left off. That is if the rollover animation only got upto frame 5 (instead of 10, because they moved the cursor off to quickly) then the rolloff animation would go from frame 5 to 0 rather than from frame 10 to 0.

Cheers,
Carl

I once had the same problem I found a good tute on www.flashkit.com. So you could look there, or just search this forum. But the example eki gave is works with the same system as the one on flashkit. The only difference is on Flashkit you’ll have a tute to help you understand it.
