Hello everyone, please bear in mind that I am not script knowledgeable nor flash. I have a webpage
template that I purchased to modify for a website. There is a form already on it, and the send and
reset buttons are already symbol/buttons but that’s it. So I need to set these. I went looking
online to find out how. I ended up here http://www.acky.net/tutorials/flash/forms/ and pasted step
#9 into the empty script boxes. I didn’t know what to enter for the mailto section so I called my
domain host provider and they told me to mydomain with a cgibin formmail ending. The guy on the
phone also had me click the Matt’s scripts link at the bottom of the tutorial page above, and had
me copy and paste this whole thing

into notepad and name it formmail.pl he then told me to put this in my top level domain (the one
I’m working with is a virtual domain underneath the top level) inside of my ftp program (wich is
Macromedia Dreamweaver) and upload it. He said that’s all I would have to do… when I test the
movie I get error messages -

I don’t think I’m doing everything right, and I must be missing something. Remember, I wouldn’t
know it as I don’t know anything about this stuff…so if someone could explain in baby language
or? Is the file named right in my ftp program? How do I have the send button go to my email
address? Am I supposed to change something in the file I got from Matts scripts, is this even the
file I should have, the whole page from Matts scripts? And that’s all? How do I direct the send
page to the confirmation page? I had to make one because there wasn’t one with the template…
also for the reset to I imagine reload the page to reset. Please help me, I have no idea what I am
doing…
update: after all of this I tried this route here instead-

Now I don’t get the errors, and when I do a test I see that the reset works, but the send goes to a
blank page, not the confirmation page, which I guess I am doing wrong, and it doesn’t seem to go to
my email, there must be a place where I put my email address? Now, I am getting even more confused,
please someone help me!
