hey all, i used the code from Kirupa’s centered pop-up tutorial for MX and it works wonderfully in Safari and Firefox. The problem is in IE it won’t spawn a window at all, nothing happens. Now I know Kirupa’s does, so I’m very confused as to why this is happening. I am working on a Mac using Flash 2004. I’m desperate to solve this problem if anyone can tell me what is going on or point me to code that will work in IE I would appriciate it.
I did some tests, since I have the exact same problem.
It turns out that the problem in my case is frames. If the page containing the flash-movie that opne s a popup is loaded separately, it works fine. But when it is in a frame, it will not open a popup. I tried using _blank as the window name, but no luck there.
Any ideas?
