Preloader Help

im using this preloader http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/percentagepreloader.htm the problem isnt that i cant get it to work. It works fine just not when i have anything else in the first 2 frames. This is what i want to do…i created a full flash site and i want the main animation to start off at a certain point w/ the preloader at that point then when its loaded the main movie will open and do some nice animations then that will be the main page from where other .swfs will load but everytime i add the preloader to my movie it doesnt work but if i clear the first two frames and have just the preloader there then my movie in the 3rd frame it works this doesnt make sense to me. Also i have got this to work in flashmx why wont it work in mx 2004?? thanks
