Hi.
I seem to have tried every possible preloader known to man and still am having PROBLEMS.
Here’s what I’ve got:
Main SWF which is my interface.
External SWFs which need to be loaded into empty movie clip in main SWF.
BUT…each external SWF has one frame on it’s main timeline, and ALL the content contained within is in a movieclip in the first frame of the main timeline.
(I don’t know why I did it this way, it seemed like a good idea at the time…)
At the moment I have Kirupa’s wonderful preloader in the External movie clips, which works great when the external movie clips are on their own (test movie). But when they’re loaded into the main movie I get flashing of dynamic text and sometimes they don’t load on the first try at all.
Without the preloader they load fine…
Anybody have a suggestion? Preloaders are the last things to be done and I’m majorly under the gun.
