Just put together an online presentation with voice overs. The client requested complete control over the audio so I new it would be exported on the first frame of my movie.
To get round this I used the preloading component in Flash 8 to preload in external swf files of each part of the presentation - getting round the heavy first frame problem.
It works lovely on everything except Internet Explorer 6 on the PC. The loadbar doesn’t always work and doesn’t always disappear as it should. The errors seem quite random too - not always happening on the same sections of the presentation.
Thought I had cracked it by exporting the movies as Flash 7 swfs - but the client is still seeing problems despite clearing cache etc.
Anyone seen similar problems with IE 6 and Flash 8? Desperately need a fix.
