Hey all,
First off, let me start by saying that I am a designer by trade and not so much a programmer so I am really new to this and am having a hard time getting the hang of it.
My problem is that I have an HTML site with 4 separate pages that each have an .swf file on them. the files are not extremely large but large enough that it takes some time for them to load (which just leaves a big white box showing). What I would like to do is to create a “loading” page that plays while the .swf file is being loaded but since its in HTML I’m not having much luck. I’ve done the preloaders in Flash but since that just makes them part of the .swf file, it just takes that much longer to load.
Is there a solution to this that anyone can help me with? I would even use a “hidden” preloader file on my home page if I thought it would work (and I knew how). Please…if somebody could help me I would be extremely grateful.
