I used Flash 5 pretty well a while ago and just got Flash MX. I have looked everywhere to try and fix the User Interface font. I cannot clearly read most of the fonts on the interface or in the scroll menus. Example: When I go to add a sound file to the timeline, I scroll down my list of files I imported but the font is bearly ledgible. I read through this thread but did not see any relation to this problem. Sorry if this is a newby question, but it is driving me nuts…
are you using win xp?
if so, perhaps your windows settings are involved with the font display in flash.
you can change the windows fonts etc. in the menu (i dont know the english names cause im using german win xp…) that appears after “right clicking on the desktop / properties / then display (fourth menu-item on top from the left) / advanced”
check whether all fonts are right there, perhaps that will solve you problem…
I am using XP. I checked the properties from the desktop but it did not effect anything within the MX program. The unreadable fonts are embedded within the MX program itself.
have you tried reinstalling the prog?
there could’ve been a problem during the installation.
That was going to be my last resort. Seeing as how this is not a common problem, I will have to reinstall. I’ll let you know if that works… thanks for your help…
