Hi,… can someone please help me with my preload problem…
I’m new to flash… so i don’t know where to start to look for the problem…
i’m trying to make a website…
I used the tutorial in kirupa.com to make a preloader… actually… it’s just cutting the frame and pasting it in the first frame…
I use the ‘test movie’ function in flash mx, showing the bandwidth and using ‘streaming’… it works fine… the preloader shows the total amount of byte loaded ,… then load the movie after finish with loading…
however,… when i upload it . …and view it from the internet… the preload function doesn’t work… it streams the movie.
within the main movie… there’re a lot of gallery… loaded only when i press a button… so these gallery are separate movies…
i’ve pasted the preloader from kirupa website to the first frame of these gallery movies…
within these movies… there are only 10 pictures and 10 thumbnails… i’ve used the infinite menu tutorial to use the thumbnail as menu… and pressing the scrolling thumbnails shows the larger version. all 10 pictures and 10 thumbnails are in the library…
when i view the file from the internet…
it did not show the byte count…
it loads an empty bar of infinite menu…
after a while… it loads all the images in the menu…
and it is still taking time to load the rest of the 10 larger versions…
i hope someone can help me with this…
i’ve decided not to dynamically load these images because it wouldn’t work on the infinite menu…
