Hello all, this is my first post, so glad to meet everyone! I have a problem, I am working on my personal site, and wanted to incorporate a thumbnail/image gallery, and came upon the tutorial listed on Kirupa.com located here: http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx2004/thumbnails.htm
It’s a great tutorial, but I am still a noob at learning Actionscript (maybe I am more of a designer than developer…? :-/ ), so I’m having a problem. I can get the program to work fine when I ran through the tutorial, however, I get a problem when I take the elements of the tutorial and place them into another movie clip. For example, I have a button that will call a movie clip called “Main”, and in “Main” will contain the elements of the tutorial (all the layers, movie clips, etc). However, once it’s in the “Main” movie clip, the scrolling part does not work. It will load the thumbnails, but the scroll part is not working at all. Can anyone help me?? If you need a clearer explanation, please ask, but again I’m a noob, so it’s hard for me to explain. Thanks for any help!!!
