EDIT: Request to be moved to General Discussion, sorry i made a catagory error
Hi all.
I recently got a job as a lone developer for flash stuff.
I am finding it difficult and a little demoralised by the daily situation.
What seems to be happening at an almost constant rate is that the time scales vs quality expectation is unrealistic.
I basically get given the raw assets for a project and a brief and am to complete it in 2-3 days. We are talking custom games. Is this realistic and normal? I need to sacrifice quality big time to meet a bug free, well performing game in that space of time and almost every time i do it, changes are made to the core of the application forcing me to trail through the classes and updating dependencies… opening bugs which takes longer and longer until it gets to the stage that im soley responsible for “taking so long” basically.
Can anyone give me thier views, am i just struggling as im new to the industry or am i facing a tight workload?
Thanks.
