Projector autorun for mac

Hi all,

does anyone know how to make a projector cd with an autorun functionality?

hmm… I’m not sure how it works for Mac, but on a pc you just need a file called “setup.exe” in the root directory of the cd and it will run automaticaly (as long as the user has his comp set to autodetect.)
The projector is published from the menu option “File/Publish settings” in Flash, and is an exe file upon publication.

I would assume, having not tried it yet, that if you were to publish a projector of the FLA, then rename the file “setup”. That it would run automaticaly, at least on a Windows system. It might also work on a Mac.

Hi David,

I already made a cd for PC using autorun.inf. now I want to make a hybrid CD. I hope someone out there knows the solution.

hmm… I’ll leave it to others then. I think already, that you know more on this subject than I do.

If you do come across a method, please do share it with us… though I’ve never done that, I’d like to know how to.

i had a look on the macromedia website for you and there is a link here click me but i got an error when i went to the site page that macromedia recommended.

there are other links here that you can try and look at too

some of these are for third party vendors

i know that to make a cd hybrid you have to use a prog like toast as when you create a cd on a pc the ISO numbers are not compatible with a mac when the cd is burned.

hope this helps…

good luck

unsure if this is of any help to you click here

there is a bit about cross platform burning at the bottom of the page that says this about nero

“- CD-Burning Software used to create the Hybrid (aka. Cross-Platform) CD on a PC CD-Burner with a Zip Drive. In order to successfully create a Cross-Platform CD on a PC you need a Zip Drive, a CD-Burner, Nero Burning ROM, and a MAC with a Zip Drive. Nero merely copies verbatim the contents of any HFS (MAC) formatted partition onto the CD.”
