PS question: Adding color to a B & W drawing

Hello kirupaForum,

i have a problem. I’m not a big Photoshop guy, so i hope some of you guys can steer me in the right direction.

here’s my situation…
A client of mine submitted a really detailed drawing for use in his website. And he wants me to colorize it, (the drawing was illustrated in Black ink on white paper.) I scanned it, and made in it into a jpeg file.

my question is are there any sites out there that are specific to my situation?Any sites that can help me out? I don’t want to have to buy a book. :devious:

post it, someone might give it a shot for you.

There’s a tutorial here on kirupa.com for colorizing photos, along with tutorials elsewhere.
The basic concept in photoshop is to create a layer over the image and just paint the colors you want over it and set it to burn or whatever you need to do. With some effort you can come up with some fairly realistic looking stuff. Good luck
