Just read a article in the ‘Herald Sun’, which incase some people on these forums dont know what it is, its a popular newspaper in Melbourne, Australia. Anyway back to the article, it was about the next generation in High Capacity DVD Discs. It was between Toshiba’s new HD DVD which is a 30gig capacity and between Sony & Panasonics Blue Ray DVD Disc.
The article then went onto say that Sony & Panasonic dont want to use HD DVD as Blue Ray DVD Discs can reach a capacity of 200Gig (Man thats ENOUGH isnt it!!)…then further down the article it said that Sony has announced that they will use ‘Blue Ray DVD Discs’ for the next generation consol the PS3, (man 200 Gig Games Sweeeeet!!). But it said that Microsoft will support Toshiba’s HD DVD with there upcomming OS; LongHorn.
Does that mean Microsoft will make the Xbox 2 use HD DVD instead, I mean thats only 30Gig, I know thats ALOT but id prefer to have Halo 3 on a Blue Ray DVD disc with the capacity to be upto 200gig!! Im dreaming lol.
Anyway im with Sony & Panasonic with the Blue Ray DVD, bigger capacity than HD DVD…
