Publishing first site

1)I just signed up with a web host and published my first site. I entered my url in my browser ,www.a1-online-casino.com, all that came up was the page where the domain name was registered saying " a1-online-casino.com is on it way". I contacted the host who suggested I “point” my url towards ns.newwebsite.com and ns2.newwebsite.com. Without any other help I found a place on the hosts site where I can redirect my url, but to only one or the other locations, but apparently not both. I chose the second one , but my website never comes up.
Does it take a day or two to register with the servers? What am I doing wrong here?
2)I have a page in my web that has the text off center and I can’t seem to straighten it out . It’s the “free gaming sites” page. I think this may be a template problem , I found out after starting with it that it was really for use with FP2000 and I’m using FP2002.
3)My pages at my site are supposed to be optimized for search engines so the site may appear a little different than a more athestic one . I would appreciate any criticism though, if anyone can find it!
Thanks,
Fred

ns.newwebsite.com and ns2.newwebsite.com are most likely DNS names.

I have a question, did you JUST buy hosting? Or did you buy a domain and hosting?

If you bought just hosting, you need to buy a domain name (godaddy.com for cheap)

Now, if you have both (domain and hosting) you need to get the DNS for your hosting to point to your domain name. So login in to your account at your hosting company. Find something that resembles DNS or Name Server changes. There should be 2 or more text fields. Enter ns.newwebsite.com in one box and ns2.newwebsite.com in another.

That makes your hosting point to your domain. It usually takes 24 hours for the domain to become active.

Let me know if you need any help.
