Publishing Problems

G’day.

I’m working on my site and I wanted to upload it to show some mates. So the first time I made Index.html and Main.swf files and uploaded them. The site just wouldn’t load. So I just uploaded the .swf file and this is what happened.

If you didn’t notice, the site shrank to fit the window, so all the scanlines and rollover animations screwed up. Did I miss something during publishing that doens’t make a scrollbar appear in the browser or did I make a wrong setting that makes it squished.

Go to File > Publish Settings and make sure the HTML and Flash options are checked then click on Publish.

Flash will produce the HTML page for you with your flash movie embeded into it as well then upload that HTML and swf file to your site.

That’s what I did the first time mate, but it didn’t work. It just kept loading and loading (I’m on 512kb adsl) and would finish.

Does your movie have a preloader? If you don’t have one then you’ll be looking at a blank white screen before the site fully loads.

Actually it’s a blank black screen :}
I’ll have a few more shots at it mate, thanks for your help.
