Pumpkin pi

In the spirit of Thanksgiving…
I give you Pumpkin Pi (well not so much pumpking as it is pi)

check it out =)

http://www.raydred.com/pi.php

LMAO, oh well, i think u created a new thread by mistake.

No no =) There is no mistake lol =)

wow Ray i have always wanted to know taht…ur such a smart guy :stuck_out_tongue:

lol your welcome =) it was hard calculating Pi.
(copy, Paste) hehe =)

I’m trying to think of a time when I will need to use this…

Nope, none yet. I’ll get back to you.

I’m pretty sure the first 4 digits are 3.141, you have 3.145. Im assuming thats just a typo

I found pi up to 10,000,000 on a site and tried to post it as a . txt file. Then I noticed it was a whoping 2 megs ( For those of you who dont know thats pretty huge for a txt :stuck_out_tongue: ).

Hungry for more pi phil?, Here’s the link http://www.hepl.phys.nagoya-u.ac.jp/~mitsuru/pi-e.html
They’ve got pi to 400,000,000 digits.

I have it memorized up to 10,000 digits I can say them from memory here it…smack

Owch who just hit me with a trout. Crap I can’t remeber it any more.

sorry Sintax, the thing has a life of its oWn!!

slaps sintax with trout again

Ray i was going to print that for math, then when i found out it was 17pgs long, i said, “She can print it if she wants it”. but when would one use that? Well i think i will cut myself a big peice if you dont mind!

go for it! =)

and yes it is a typo =)

the first digits are 3.14159 and so on…

I have a friend who knows up to like 300 digits lol its impressive =)

Then again hes like trying to solve nMath problems whatever they are lol

Phil, Pi right now has no ending, and dont think will ever. Its an irrational number and they are infinite =) and if they do find an end to pi, then everything will become chaos! Up will be down, lol jk =)

My friends college professor told him that PI does have an end, they just haven’t gotten to it yet.

But how he would know that I have no clue.

Your friends college professor probly has a finite way of viewing his life and his world. It is entirely probable that Pi is infinite and so far evidence has upheld this. Some things are just made to go on

I’m not math college professor but just thinking about it, Pi is used to find the circumfrence of a circle. The circumfrence IS constant. So Pi must be a finite number in order to match the constant circumfrence. Its just got like a million numbers before it ends. I feel sorry for the guy that spends his whole life figuring out the numbers in Pi then dies on the number before the final one.

Pi is a constant, but it does not need to be finite. It is the number you get when you divide the circumference of any circle by its Diameter. It is constant for each and every circle, but just because it is the same for each circle doesn’t mean that it has to end.

I feel sorry for the people who work on finding the end of PI period.

I mean… I see them as pocket protector, broken glasses, and pale white skin.

I wonder if that is really what they look like…LOL.

So they look like my friends from highschool!! lol scary…

Phil: :q: :cyclops: :pirate: :ninja: :asian: :elderly: :hat:

uh huh. Thats it.

I don’t know why people are trying to work out pi so accuratly, I cannot see how knowing pi so accuratly helps us. For for those of you intrested in how its done check out this link. http://www.escape.com/~paulg53/math/pi/archimedes/. I can only half understand it but then again I 'm 14
