Pursuing Quality

The quality coalition was developed in Houston to bring forward the quality issues faced by the city. These include the sudden outburst of extra large billboards and signages that go out of their way to attract potential customers. The other problem is that of litter & graffiti covering the entire city, adding chaos to clutter. The coalition chooses to deal with these problems by taking active measures which include passing ordinances that restrict the usage of these. At the same time, it also stresses the importance of having greenery around. This would entail strategic planting of trees and landscaping key areas like the interchanges, highways and freeways. The coalition also proposes the development of more parks, bayous and other areas for recreation, which can help the citizens unwind.
The quality of life coalition is all about recognizing the potential of improving the quality of life of the citizens of Houston. This is of great importance as Houston’s prosperity depends on the improved lifestyle of its inhabitants. The organization was founded by Mr. Richard Weekley of the Weekley Development Company, who is also the CEO and Chairman of the Texas for Lawsuit Reforms. The coalition runs with the help of a Steering Committee, which comprises of Ann Lents of The Center for Houston’s Future, Charles E McMahen of Compass Bancshares, Bill Coats of Coats, Rose, Yale, Ryman & Lee, among many others. :kir:
