I’m having a rough time,getting a good quility out of animated gifs i export in flash 5.I use other pic’s then do flash text on them and they come out grainy as hell.I trace the bitmap and save with interlace and smooth checked with 256 colors.What am i doing wrong?

you know… I’ve never gotten good quality out of that either. My suggestion would be to publish the movies as swfs and display them that way. If you’re worried about plugin’s and they are just simple animations, publish them as Flash 3.0 or 4.0 files. Almost every browser has the capability to see Flash 3.0 swfs.

Thx man,it does make me feel better,because I thought I was doing everything possible,even jacking up the file sizes.
If it was photoshop i’d have no problem.
Thats a cool sig you have there,i’m doing one similar to it with fireworks for the gaming league i admin.
