So, I’ve had a home apache server with php, mysql, ftp, etc set up for a while now and I’ve been wondering about nameservers. I used Xampp to set up the server. Is there a way to set up nameservers with Xampp so i can use a domain name i have registered with my home testing server? If not Xampp, I’ve heard that’s what BIND is for. Is that true? If not that then how would i do it? Im gonna need something under a GNU lisence(its only for a testing server and dont want to throw money away).
