Question: How to make this wallpaper in PS

Hey, first of all I would like to say I’m new to this forum. I Have been looking around this website for the past year orso and I figured I would join. I promise I’ll post regulary and if I don’t you can smack with a fish. Honest. Now it kind of sucks that my first post is a question, which makes me sound kind of noobish. That’s why I included an assignment from school which you can look at and give critique on.

So anyways, my question was how to make this wallpaper** in Photoshop. Maulik already wrote a tutorial on this for Flash which you can find **[URL=“http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash8/gradient_art.htm”]here.
Anyways, yeah. I have some sort of idea of how to do it, but I’m sure I won’t get the same results. I know I could do it in 3D more easily and faster, but I would like to know a technique to create such gradient-like effects.
Thanks in advance.

Oh wait… I told you I would show you some stuff, huh? Allright. Click here. The first you’ll come across is the ‘splash’ page. You’ll see an intro on it and you can click one of the pictures to go to a specific page of the website. If you click the picture, you’ll go to the main lay-out. If you click that again you’ll go back to the previous page, making an endless loop which will keep you clicking for all eternity (or if you’re on a laptop with only a battery, then it’ll stop when it runs out of electricity).

That was it I guess.

You use the pen tool to make that “panther osx” wallpaper. then use shadowing techniques (inner and outer) + inner glows and a gradient background, i don’t know how to effectively use the pen tool… so :?)

about your third paragraph, i have no clue what you’re talking about

aaaaaaaaaaaah this question has been asked at least 3 times in the last month i reckon.

i’m not sure exactly what you should search for, but the threads discuss it in detail… try searching “apple wallpaper” or something like that.

and if you search for “sinedots” you’ll find the thread and a link to d/l that plugin which is the easiest option for the effect.

@iLikePie: thanks for the help, I found it. And sorry that I am the fourth one who asks this. I couldn’t find it on the forums.

@niraj: The third paragraph refers to the last sentence in the first paragraph “That’s why I included an assignment from school which you can look at and give critique on.”

So it’s a thing I made for an assignment, I figured I would show you people so you can comment on it, if you feel like it. Oh btw, Seat is copyrighted to Seat, I guess. This is only for educational purposes.
